About Hokkiado University Supporter's Organization
Dear Sir, I would like to congratulate you on your continued success.
There are 1,956 international students enrolled at our university (as of October 7, 2016), and the number is increasing year by year. In order for them to achieve their study abroad goals, in addition to educational and research support, they may sometimes need financial support.
This supporter's organization was established in 2003 with the aim of expanding support for international students from a university-wide perspective. Currently, we are doing the following projects based on donations from everyone.
- Support related to joint guarantee for hospitalization of international students
- Financial support for illnesses of international students
- Financial support for unexpected accidents, etc. of international students
- Financial support for organizations supporting international students
- Economic support through Lump-sum Loan
In order to operate these businesses continuously and stably, please join us and increase the number of subscribers.
If you download and submit the membership application form below to the accountant of your department by November 24th, it will be reflected from December.
The membership fee of this supporters association is treated as the Hokkaido University Frontier Fund (donation), and those who pay membership fees exceeding 2,000 yen a year are eligible for preferential treatment under the tax law. A receipt will be issued at a later date.
In recent years, unfortunately, the number of participants has been gradually decreasing. Once again, I would like to ask for your cooperation in continuing the various projects of the supporters association.

The Hokkaido University International Hokkiado University Supporter's Organization conducts the following activities with donations from the university's faculty and staff, so that all international students can live a comfortable life as an international student.
- Support related to joint guarantee for hospitalization of international students
If international students need a joint guarantor when they are hospitalized, we will provide a guarantee. - Financial support for illnesses of international students
- Financial support for unexpected accidents, etc. of international students
- Lump-sum Loan
This is an interest-free loan system for international students (*) who need a temporary loan of up to 50,000 yen for 6 months after examination. For details on the terms and conditions of the loan and how to apply, please contact the Academic Affairs Section (International Student Section) of your department, or the Student Support Division counter (1st floor Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education Counter 1-A).
*Excluding Japanese Government Scholarship Student, foreign government-sponsored international students, and international students with a remaining period of enrollment of less than 6 months.
