We realise that living in a foreign country can be challenging at times, which is why we offer an extensive student support system to make students time in Sapporo as trouble-free as possible. The dedicated International Student Support Desk offers counseling and advise for any issues that may arise during your stay. From help with Japanese paperwork for your new flat to finding your way around the city, our support staff are on-hand and happy to help.
The university also has “student supporters”, who will help you adapt to life in Japan. Student supporters will welcome you at the airport or a railway station on your arrival and provide necessary support to set up your life in Sapporo. They will then help you adapt to daily life, such as sorting out your health insurance and opening a bank account.
Other services we provide for international students include counseling services, and career support to help students understand their future career options.
