Overview
This course is a general introduction to biochemistry. The course aims to review the main biomolecules from a structural and functional point of view. An important section is devoted to the study of the four levels of protein organization. i) Gain an understanding of the foundations of the chemical reactions in biological systems. ii) Recognize the structure and functions of the main biomolecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids). iii) Understand the enzymatic process, generalities and kinetics.
