I grew up near San Francisco, USA. I received my PhD from the University of California, Davis in 2015. I previously held positions at the University of Minnesota (where the winters are much colder than Hokkaido) and the University of Queensland (where winter doesn’t really exist) before taking a JSPS postdoc at Osaka Metropolitan University and then coming to Hokkaido University. My research is on combinatorial representation theory, where I study symmetries by counting things. If you want to learn more, feel free to contact me.
