I am a plant scientist specialising in trafficking pathways in plants.I received my primary education in Malaysia and subsequently achieved my doctorate in Plant Sciences from Oxford University in the UK. My postgraduate studies focussed on the movement of proteins in plant cells which has implications in growth, immune responses and development. I then went on to research in major plant science laboratories in Japan, Sweden and Germany. I have received fellowships from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and Alexander von Humboldt foundation to carry out my research. My current research interest is understanding the switch of cell fate in moss development.
